India's BHEL wins $73.4m order from GSECL

5 March 2004 - Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd said it has bagged a Rs3330m ($73.44m) order from Gujarat State Electricity Corp Ltd for setting up Dhuvaran gas-based power project in Anand district.

BHEL will set up the 112 MW Dhuvaran combined cycle power plant extension Unit-II of GSECL in 22 months, said a company statement.

The company had earlier supplied, erected and completed the 106 MW Dhuvaran CCP extension Unit-I.

BHEL's scope of work envisages manufacture, supply and erection of an Advanced Class Gas Turbine, a steam turbine and a Waste Heat Recovery Steam Generator, besides controls, associated auxiliaries and complete civil works.
