Alstom to build combined cycle plant in India

26 January 2004 - Alstom has secured a Rs 5000m ($110m) project to build a 228 MW combined-cycle power plant for GVK Industries at Jegurupadu in Andhra Pradesh.

The commercial operation of the project is slated for November 2005, a company statement said here on Thursday. The scope of work include supply of gas turbine along with heat recovery steam generator, steam turbine, water steam cycle
equipment and electro-mechanica auxillaries, it said.

Alstom would also provide the civil works, erection, commissioning and testing of the power plant, it said.
