POWER-GEN Renewable Energy (PGRE) announced the addition of four new partnering associations -- United States Energy Association, National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, EEI Alliance of Energy Suppliers and Clean Fuels Development Coalition.

The PGRE web site is now updated with complete details on its technical conference. The site also includes information on its three session tracks, which include End-Use Applications & Markets, Regulatory, Economic & Financing Trends and Technology Issues. The site also includes information on the Green Power Workshop, APEC Clean Energy & Village Power Business Forum, and the technical tours, which will be to Hoover Dam and the UNLV Solar Projects & City of Las Vegas Hydrogen Refueling Station.

PennWell's POWER-GEN Renewable Energy is the power industry's newest event addressing the complex challenges affecting the renewables market. The event brings together the renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro power, geothermal energy, ocean/tidal, and biomass), renewable fuels (biofuels, ethanol, methanol, and biodiesel), and emerging energy technology (hydrogen systems, fuel cells, microturbines and energy storage) sectors of the energy industry to discuss the key technical, regulatory, structural, economic and market issues impacting their commercial future.

The American Coal Council has agreed to co-locate its Powder River Basin (PRB) Coal Use Seminar at the COAL-GEN 2004 conference and exhibition. The ACC's "2004 PRB Coal Use: Risk Management Strategies & Tactics" provides utility coal consumers with advanced techniques, best practices and risk management approaches for handling, storing and consuming Powder River Basin (PRB) coals.

The deadline for COAL-GEN 2004 abstract submissions is January 23, 2004.
