Vericor Power Systems adds John Stone to its sales force

ATLANTA, Ga., Nov. 26, 2003 -- Vericor Power Systems recently appointed John Stone, manager, marketing sales for oil and gas. Stone is based in Houston, Texas.

"John brings to Vericor extensive experience in the oil and gas industries, as well as a solid understanding of the gas turbine and energy markets," said Tom Bray, president and chief executive officer of Vericor Power Systems. "We see John as a valuable addition to Vericor's North American sales force, as we continue supplying our VPS™3 and VPS™4 generator sets and ASE™8, ASE™40 and ASE™50 industrial gas turbines to the ever-evolving oil and gas industries."

In 1972, Stone began his career as an applications engineer at Dresser-Clark in Olean, N.Y. He then joined the sales team for Cooper Energy Services in Houston. Stone transferred to Chicago to open up a Midwest cogeneration office for Sulzer, after which he accepted a position as business development manager for Indeck Power.

At Indeck, Stone focused on large gas turbine and coal fired power generation projects across North America. Stone was later offered the sales manager position for Sulzer's Houston office, moving back to Houston in 1992, and remaining with Sulzer/MAN until his recent appointment with Vericor.

Stone earned a B.A. from Houghton College, Houghton, N.Y., in 1972. He has four children, and resides in Houston with his wife and one child.
