Endesa to invest in 16 wind parks by 2004

26 November, 2003 - Spanish electricity company Endesa said Tuesday its renewable energy subsidiary, Ecyr, is building 16 wind parks that will start operations between late 2003 and the end of 2004.

The company said the investment totals €280m, and is part of the company's strategic plan to reach a 2000 MW installed power capacity in renewable energy.

These new facilities will increase the company's wind-generated power by 314 MW to 1135 MW, which represents 20 per cent of Spain's installed wind-generated capacity.
