Glacier Garlock Bearings to become GGB

Thorofare, N.J., Nov. 18, 2003 -- Glacier Garlock Bearings (GGB) will change its name to GGB effective January 1, 2004.

In anticipation of the change, the company for the past year has been using the shorter version in its communications with employees and the marketplace.

"It's important to note that the only things we're changing are our name and logo," explained GGB President Bernd Fischer. "We're still the same company under the same ownership. But just as our bearings make it easier to reduce friction, we're making it easier to say our name."

Registrations and the official name change will occur in stages across the company's 20 operating units in Europe, the U.S. and South America, in advance of which customers will be notified for invoicing and other legal purposes.
