Oct. 8, 2003 -- ALSTOM has signed a five-year agreement to supply international oil and gas company ChevronTexaco with electrical distribution equipment at sites around the world.
The agreement is worth approximately 35M euro per year to ALSTOM and covers a wide category of products such as oil-filled transformers, high-voltage circuit breakers, low- and medium-voltage switchgear and motors, predominantly in the IEC-standard market.
ALSTOM's Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Sector will manufacture equipment at sites in several countries and supply equipment to ChevronTexaco's worldwide facilities.
Alain Boussant, ALSTOM T&D's Global Oil and Gas Director, said: "We are very pleased to be a preferred supplier of ChevronTexaco. Our ability to provide a wide range of electrical equipment in countries all over the world with associated local services was a major factor in our winning this deal. It reinforces our position as a major supplier to the oil and gas industry."
