7 October - Spanish utility Endesa said Monday it has increased its stake in Argentinean power generator Central Costanera S.A. from 60 per cent to 63.9 per cent.

Endesa has acquired $4.5m worth of Central Costanera's shares having bought 16.165 million shares from KLT Power Inc., and indirectly acquired an additional 1.962 million shares when Endesa bought 100 per cent of a different unit, KLT Power (Bermuda) Ltd.

Both Endesa and Central Costanera S.A. released details of the deal to the Buenos Aires stock exchange.
