TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 3, 2003 -- Energy Softworx and Nova Scotia Power announced that they have entered into a software license agreement to utilize Energy Softworx' fuels management software (Fuelworx) to manage their fuel supply operations.
"Fuel is the largest direct cost component of generating electricity. The implementation of good fuels management and accounting software and practices is essential for surviving the pricing pressures of the modern day energy market. We welcome Nova Scotia Power to our rapidly growing list of power generation companies who are taking a proactive stance towards managing their fuel supply costs," said Debbie Wohlers, President Energy Softworx.
"After an intensive examination of the fuels management software solutions available in the marketplace, we selected Energy Softworx because we felt they offered the best of breed software solution from a functional and technical standpoint. They had excellent customer references and their knowledge of the fuels management business was impressive. We believe they will be a huge asset as we strive to streamline our business processes during the implementation of a new Fuels Management System at Nova Scotia Power," said Susan Faulkner, Fuels Project Manager at Nova Scotia Power.
