Aug 4 2003 -- A second undersea cable to transport electricity between Morocco and Spain will come into service in 2005 and double transit capacity to 1400 MW, state news agency MAP said on Thursday.
The EUR117.2 million project, signed on Thursday by the Morocco's National Electricity Office and the Red Electrica de Espana, will help the two countries integrate their power markets. The project will be financed equally, MAP said.
