Peerless Mfg. Co. announces peaking power SCR retrofit order

DALLAS, July 18, 2003 -- Peerless Mfg. Co. has announced the receipt of a multi-million dollar order to supply Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Systems at a natural gas-fired peaking power station in Pasadena, California.

The order for the City Municipal Water and Power Department includes the engineering, fabrication and start-up of two integrated SCR Systems complete with strict sound attenuation equipment and catalyst. The construction and overall project responsibility is borne by Peerless' partner on this project, ARB, Inc. of Lake Forest, California.

Shipment and installation of these systems will be coordinated with the facility's scheduled maintenance shutdowns during February 2004.

Sherrill Stone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Peerless, stated, "We are looking forward to working with ARB on this project as we expand our capability to participate in the growing retrofit market in California."
