Grossholz to lead Universal Silencer - Europe

June 13, 2003 -- Universal Silencer, Inc. (USI), a designer and global supplier of noise control and air filtration products, has named Michelle C. Grossholz as Director-Europe at its newest global location in Hinckley, England.

Grossholz will oversee sales, marketing, engineering and business development activities for stationary industrial acoustic and filtration products in Europe and the Middle East.

The Hinckley office will manufacture and market silencers for blowers, engines, gas turbines and vents under the Nelson-Burgess and Universal Silencer brand names (www.nelsonburgess.com and www.universalsilencer.com).

Grossholz will focus USI's European efforts to serve key markets in which USI has substantial experience, such as power generation, industrial processing/air moving equipment, oil & gas, marine, rail and emissions. USI-Europe will offer both standard and customized products to customers in these markets, as both first-fit and aftermarket solutions.

"This new sales and engineering presence in Europe enables us to be even more competitive internationally," USI President Randy Eppli emphasized. "Our renowned acoustic expertise and customer service should make our noise control and air filtration solutions the first choice of European customers in a very short time."

Grossholz brings extensive experience in finance and accounting to her new role. She holds a BS with honors in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from the Owen Graduate School at Vanderbilt University. Prior to her new position, Grossholz was the Controller at Universal Silencer headquarters in Stoughton, WI, USA.

The U.K. office is the second new internationally based sales and engineering operation USI has established in the last six months; USI-Singapore began operation in November 2002 to serve Asia Pacific customers in similar markets.

Universal Silencer, headquartered in Stoughton, WI, is a global provider of noise control and air filtration systems and solutions. Universal Silencer is a proud member of the filtration business unit of Cummins Engine Company and an ISO-certified manufacturer. For additional information, go to www.universalsilencer.com.
