Washington Energy & Environment Unit names William G. Poulson to lead its Integrated Projects Group

Aiken, S.C., March 20, 2003 -- The Energy & Environment Unit of Washington Group International, Inc. has named William G. Poulson Vice President of its Integrated Projects Group.

Poulson will be responsible for a number of key U.S. Department of Energy and other agency contracts including the Weldon Spring Site Remedial Action Project, the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment site, the Oak Ridge operations, the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence and the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant where Poulson was recently the Operations Manager for Washington Group International.

"The Integrated Projects Group is a large and diverse organization that has contributed significantly to the U.S. Department of Energy and other government agencies. Washington Group is known for its ability to manage critical and high hazard facilities and program, and now it is structured and positioned to grow rapidly under the leadership of Bill Poulson," said Dr. Ralph R. DiSibio, President of Washington Energy & Environment.

Poulson has more than 30 years of experience in managing large, complex nuclear projects for both commercial and government clients. He joined the former Westinghouse Electric Corp. in 1972 as an engineer in their commercial nuclear business and progressed through a number of key management assignments, including President and General Manager at the West Valley Nuclear Services Company near Buffalo, New York. From 1998-2000, he was Vice President and General Manager of several Westinghouse Savannah River Divisions.
