Framatome ANP wins contract to supply steam generators at Salem-2

LYNCHBURG, Va., Dec. 31, 2002 -- Framatome ANP, an AREVA and Siemens company, and PSEG Nuclear LLC, signed a contract for the supply of 4 replacement steam generators for Unit 2 of the Salem nuclear power plant in New Jersey.

This contract falls within the scope of a strategic alliance formed between PSEG LLC and Framatome ANP in the third quarter of 2002. The new steam generators will be manufactured by the Framatome ANP plant at Chalon Saint-Marcel. The delivery date set is beginning of April 2006.

Joel Pijselman, Senior Executive Vice President responsible for the Equipment Business Group declared: "Thanks to its Chalon Saint-Marcel facility which manufactures primary nuclear equipment, Framatome ANP is the premier nuclear vendor to offer a full scope supply. This major strategic advantage reinforces our position on the American Steam Generator and Vessel Head Replacement markets."

PSEG Nuclear LLC operates Hope Creek, a 1050 MWe boiling water reactor, and Salem units 1 and 2, two 1100 MWe pressurized water reactors.
