Sept. 18, 2002 -- ALSTOM has signed a contract with TVK Power Plant Ltd. of Hungary to supply one KA10-1CE power plant, based on the 25 MW GT10B industrial gas turbine. TVK Power Plant Ltd. is jointly owned by the two companies EMASZCo. Ltd. (RWE owned) and Tiszai Vegyi Kombinat Co.Ltd.
The total order value exceeds 45 million euro, of which ALSTOM's share is approximately 30 million euro. The plant, which will be supplied in consortium with the Hungarian company Transelektro Co.Ltd., will be delivered to Tiszaujvaros, 200 km east of Budapest.
The ALSTOM KA10-1CE plant consists of a GT10B gas turbine, fired with natural gas, and a ST6 dual-casing condensing extraction steam turbine with auxiliary systems. Transelektro Co.Ltd. will supply one heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) with supplementary firing, and three additional auxiliary steam boilers for extra steam need of the process.
The total supply thus forms a complete combined cycle power plant for the production of process steam, district heating and electrical power.
The plant will generate 36 MW in total, of which 25MW is provided by the gas turbine and the remainder by the steam turbine. Process steam is also extracted from the steam turbine for use in the petrochemical process. The three auxiliary boilers will be installed to enhance the availability, capacity and gradient of steam production.
The plant is due to come on line in March 2004.
ALSTOM's GT10B gas turbines are fitted as standard with DLE (Dry Low Emissions) burners for maximum efficiency and minimum environmental impact. Over 150 GT10B turbines have been ordered to date, delivered machines having accumulated over 2 million operating hours, of which one million have been in combined cycle.
