NEWARK, N.J., June 28, 2002 -- Frederick Pastor Jr., former vice president of nuclear plant services with the Washington Group has been appointed vice president of construction by PSEG Power, an independent power producer.
Pastor joined the Washington Group in 2000 after a 30-year career with Stone & Webster where he held a number of construction executive management positions, including president and director of construction power projects and vice president and director of nuclear power maintenance.
At PSEG Power, he will oversee construction of approximately 4,000 megawatts of electric generating capacity now under way in New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Indiana.
Pastor, a resident of Old Lyme, CT, holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Lowell Technological Institute and has completed specialized training and post-graduate course work at Harvard, Louisiana State University, the University of New Haven, and Hofstra.
PSEG Power has approximately 16,000 megawatts of electric generating capacity in operation or under construction in a region of the U.S. that extends from Maine to the Carolinas and as far west as Ohio and Indiana. Power is a subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated PSEG (NYSE: PEG - News), a diversified energy holding company with more than $25 billion in assets.
