Midwest Generation selects GP to provide advanced training and procedural material at several station locations

COLUMBIA, Md., June 18, 2002 -- General Physics Corporation (GP), a wholly owned subsidiary of GP Strategies Corp., has entered into an agreement with Midwest Generation to tighten and upgrade their existing training and qualification process.

"To become more productive, we must consistently increase the knowledge and broaden the skills of our plant operations & maintenance work force," stated David McKean, Project Manager for Midwest Generation.

The training and qualification process will include operations and maintenance fundamentals, advanced operations and maintenance skills training, a comprehensive training administration management system, and over 1800 web-based training (WBT) lessons.

Standardization will reduce the cost of implementation and help ensure that all operations and maintenance personnel are qualified to perform their jobs effectively.
