ALSTOM wins third order to provide total power solution for new FPSO vessel

Milan, Italy, June 13, 2002 -- ALSTOM has won a repeat order worth about 17 million euro, from Single Buoy Moorings Inc. for a total power solution for a new FPSO (.(Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) vessel, it was announced at POWER-GEN Europe in Milan, Italy.

The two previous orders for the same scope of supply were awarded in rapid succession in June and July 2001. Under this contract, ALSTOM will again supply six gas turbines from its facility in Lincoln, UK.

The supply covers two Cyclone gas turbine compressor drivers, two Tornado gas turbine generating sets and two Typhoon gas turbine pump drivers. The gas turbines will be low emission, dual-fuel, three-point-mounted units, specifically developed by the company for offshore marine duty.

The units will be despatched from Lincoln mid-2002 and delivered to a shipyard in Singapore where the vessel is being fitted out before becoming operational off West Africa in the first quarter 2003.
