NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., May 6, 2002 -- Moog Inc. Industrial Controls Division and Whittaker Controls Inc. jointly announced Monday that they have entered into a Teaming Agreement in order to maximize their penetration in the industrial gas turbine market.
Moog, located in East Aurora, New York, designs, develops, manufactures and sells, among other products, hydraulic and electro-mechanical actuation (EMA) products. Whittaker, based in North Hollywood, Calif., designs, develops, manufactures and sells, among other products, liquid and gas process control valves.
Martin J. Berardi, vice president of Moog Industrial Controls, said, "The ability to cooperate closely with Whittaker provides the team with the best in actuation and process valving for the power generation industry regardless of the application. We look to a strong movement in pursuing a wide scope of supply for both companies."

Both companies intend to maximize their market penetration in the large frame, small frame and aero-derivative gas turbine segments of the power generation and gas compression markets. Moog and Whittaker will work together in close cooperation for these market segments in the design, development, production, sales and support of hydraulic and EMA process valves for a variety of turbine control functions.
