Turbine Air Systems announces new president/COO


Houston, TX, April 22, 2002 - Turbine Air Systems, a specialist in increasing the output of gas turbine facilities via inlet air chilling, has named Craig M. Hurlbert its President and Chief Operating Officer.

Hurlbert succeeds Tom Pierson, the founder of Turbine Air Systems, who will now focus on his role as Chief Executive Officer and work to drive key strategic initiatives. "We are excited to have Craig join our team; he brings tremendous energy, proven leadership skills and market knowledge that complement the excellent team we have in place, positioning our company to continue its growth while maintaining our obsession with customer satisfaction and value creation," said Pierson.

Hurlbert comes to Turbine Air Systems from P2 Energy, Pratt & Whitney's sales, marketing and customer service company, where he was General Manager. Prior to P2 Energy, Hurlbert was the President and CEO of The PIC Energy Group. Hurlbert also held executive leadership positions at GE Power Systems and Stewart & Stevenson.

Before Stewart & Stevenson, Hurlbert spent time with The Geneva Company as an investment banker, and Ford Motor Company in its financial management program. Based in Houston, Texas, Turbine Air Systems is a worldwide leader in packaged modular turbine inlet cooling systems and solutions for the gas turbine industry, having completed over 40 installations around the world on over six giga watts of gas turbines.

The company specializes in designing, manufacturing, packaging and installing multiple types of turbine inlet cooling solutions including mechanical, absorption, and thermal storage systems, providing owners with systems that optimize project economic returns.
